quite late
it was some really traditional funeral that is rarely practiced today
it was sooo long
hadta walk here and there
and listen to some children sing
ended at abt 11:30 pm

this will continue on till wednesday
the females actually hadta sit around the coffin at one part of the ceremony
kinda creepy

just realized that my great grandmother was a samsui woman
she's really quite strong and healthy for her age (86)

Don't feel like studying chinese sooo early thus i shall blog on the wierld dream i had last night
it goes like this ......... i went out with my family to some popular(heartland's i think)
as we walked through the main entrance , we passed by a man lying on the floor
the man looked like he's gonna die, budden nobody (including me) went to help him
Popular in my dreams was having some discount thingie going on
my mom was like asking me whether to buy some harry potter lego stuff on a 15 cents discount
it was under some "Pathetic Discounts Deal" cart
i was ,like, looking at the man whom everybody is still ignoring while my mom was still asking
then some police came and announced that he was dead
my dad shouted "Its a dead man !!! "
then everybody went back to shopping
i saw the police writing something
then wrap the man up with some blue tard until like some mummy
and they threw him into a big plastic bag and went off
then i was in some other scene
i was with the some OBS people
including those not from our school
and we were all panicking about in some building
we were stuck in the building by some evil spirit(the man's i think)
and we must complete some task to collect all the cards which combine to be a story
and the lift just doesn't work like its supposed to be
because it brings us to other levels except for the level we want to go
and we were sometimes trapped in this wulo level with nothing and nobody
and we'd end up in another chaotic level where we must do some stuff
and i was made to drink up a very big glass of some slimy juice
and everybody just ran ahead of me leaving me there
and after i finished drinking i was handed some cards by some ghostly bartender
i caught up with the others and saw Janice talking with some other girl
and i handed the cards to her because she was supposed to take care of all the cards obtained
and we went out of some carpark to find the back entrance
but the thing is we were not suppose to leave by there
it wasn't the right exit
and the "game" isn't over till we find the right entrance and leave that place
budden nobody cared what i said and evrybody went out
i went out too
after a few days, i was still brooding about the "game"
and everybody that was involved met with some bad things happening
i looked up on some people and asked them waht happened after the "game
and that person had something bad happen (forgot what thing)
then suddenly, i was one the road with St John yearmates
and suddenly some children were screaming because their teachers(2) was injured
then we ran over to them and helped them
suddenly the place where one of the teachers was supposed to be was a pile of ashes
the teacher has moved to another spot, she was sitting on some hole
then we went to help her ( i and tracy i think )
she had a open fracture on her tibia
i just did a donut while tracy bandaged it
and the kids around were just droning away "help our teachers help our teachers"
over and over again
then my mom woke me up
and the dream is over
creepy dream hurh ????

First day of EXAMS
had Elective Geography , then Literature
did not exactly finish revising everything
did not even study about the question that came out
did not have enough time to finish Lit.
had spent too much time on the first question
after that just went home and slept till just now
will be doing 'E' Math later on
can't afford to fail math anymore
Tomorrow's papers are 'E' Math and English

Cyberweek Day 1

woke up at 7 today
started discussing for Literature thingie at 8
played some comp. games
did some research
started cyberweek discussion at 1pm
ended at 2pm and rushed to go meet Xin Yi and Charmaine

saw mdm siti , jeslyn and me on a photo of the NDP peeps
on the zone 3 & 4 board
bought the new shoulder flash

bought food and went back to school

Zoo (1st august 2004)

went to the zoo today with aunt and family
walked around
was still kinda tired from the camp
bought durians back home to eat

OBS CAMP

I SURVIVED THE OBS CAMP !!!!
i am back frm the camp save and sound
no major injuries
only a couple of insect bites and afew infected wounds and burst blister
came back filling enriched and even more energetic
not to mention abit more taned
missing OBS and the peeps i met there
wanna go back again
DAY 1
set off from home with three bags
waited for the bus to come and fetch us
was kinda brooding on the bus
was worried about whether i'll be able to clique with the other school peeps
reached Pungol jetty
felt like running back home
saw the other schools peeps
Teck Whye Sec, Fairfield Sec, Hong Kah Sec and Yuhua Sec
waited for the boat to come
came to know that we'll all(St John peeps) be in different Watch
sat on boat and arrived at Outward Bound Singapore
got to the multi purpose hall and got divided into the different Watches
i'm in the Watch called MAGELLAN
after a briefing
got to know our instructor,Sam(Samantha)
handed over our valuables and got our food rations
got to know each other and we each got a post as an I/C
was the medical i/c of the group
ate lunch and got changed to the wet attire
first activity was learning how to pitch tents
pitched our tents for tonight and went off for the sea
second activity was a basic lesson on kayaking
buddy watch was LIVINGSTONE
who has got quite a pretty instructor Shu Yun
after about 3 hours our kayaking around and learning how to do the wet exit(capsize)
and how to do the T rescue
got out of the sea and bathed
cooked dinner and ate dinner
had some interaction time
instructors told us about the medical bag(my baby)
then had this briefing where we were told who is MAGELLAN
all the group names actually came from names of explorers
and this Magellan guy was actually the first guy who circum-navigate the whole Earth
then was told about the commitments of the camp
had to sign this commitment book with all the signature and names of ex-Magellanites
then went to sleep
slept very well
DAY 2
woke up at about 6 am
unpitched tent
brushed teeth and ate breakfast
packed up the backpack provided with my clothes and food rations
two watches were late in meeting our instructors because of that
was given a speech on punctuality
was kinda suprised that we were not scolded because we were really late
Sam was even smiling during the whole speech though Shu yun was expressionless
played the mingle game
everyone thought that Sam did the mingle really nicely
played the giant wizard and dwarf game
then shared our group journal
Shu Yun told the frog story
after that was given more time to pack our bags
then put our bags aside
did the trust fall activity
couldn't bring myself to do it because i was scared
ate our lunch
it started to rain so our hiking trip was delayed
played Giant skip where the whole watch had to skip in one giant rope
played key punch where we were given another speech about listening
then played group tangle
set off for the next campsite as it was not raining anymore
had to carry the damned heavy backpack and trek in the forest for about an hour
had to carry the tent too
finally reached the campsite
pitched the tent
cooked dinner
ate dinner
pee-ed in the forest behind some foliage
saw fireflies
slept not very well because tent was near ant hole and was sleeping at the door
kena bitten all over by an army of ants
DAY 3
woke up at about 5:30 am
unpitched tent
did not bother to eat breakfast
continued to hike to Campsite 1
finally after hiking about 1 hour we reached Campsite 1
it was really nice
like some resort
but we still had to camp outside
shared our journal
everybody was obsessed with Sam's mingle
kept on begging her to do it
Sam told us about why Kurt Hahn wanted to build Outward Bound School
it was about some 6 declines (physical,creativity and memory,skill,self-discipline, spectatoristis and i forgot the rest )
did rock climbing (totally sucked at it)
pitched tent and had lunch
did high elements
completed the obstacle(soo darned proud of myself)
cooked dinner at the beach
bathed together with Tracy because there weren't enough shower rooms
planned for the Sea Expedition we're gonna have the next day
after that we went to sleep
switched tents and went to sleep with Xin Yi,Tingmei and Ryna
discussed about the two jerks and about our schools
slept well
DAY 4
woke up early because we had to catch the right timing for high tide
packed bags and unpitched tents
ate breakfast
shared the journal and Sam shared story about a grandma praying story
later had to move our bags onto a motor boat to be sent back to campsite 2
carried the kayaks out
got ready the safety vest
got out in to the sea
my kayak was somehow always somewhere behind
though i already was paddling for my life
changed partner after awhile because we couldn't coordinate
kayaked into the mangroves and the scenery was great there
botaged as we had to cross over muddy land
had a rest and had lunch
changed partner again because he thinks he's too good a kayaker and i wasn't
But i was glad we changed partner because i felt quite miserable kayaking with him
got teamed up with a not-so-good kayaker like me
but i was finally able to laugh and enjoy the trip
was soo stress free working with him
kayaked the rest of the way back to campsite 2 with him
was soo darned happy when we reached shore
by then we had kayaked for about 9 hours
we had to clean up the kayaks and put them back in place
later on we did jetty jump
after that we got our bags
unpacked the backpack and stuffed everything into my bags
was pitching the tent by myself because the two jerks didn't want to help
and the person accompanying me did not know how to pitch tent
was kinda pissed off at that time because i did not get to eat and i had very little time left to bath luckily Tracy gave me some of her Watch's food
saved my life
after that had to help clean up the MAGELLAN store
we lost several thingies
but our case was not as bad as some other Watch's
after a short briefing we went to sleep
slept damned well that night though many peeps were talking
DAY 5
woke up early again
unpitched tent for the final time and went to clean the tent
the two jerks didn't really help again
assembled everything and calculated that we each had to pay $0.40
had to share our journal one last time
shared our journals one last time
Shu Yun told us the story of the broken pot
got ready bags to go home
bought some souveniers from the souvenier shop
bought 2 shirts and a bottle
had this final debrief
shared all our thoughts and feelings for this camp
for me.......i really felt that we have learnt many life skills which we would never learn in school
and that it was really worth it exchanging 108 hours of my life for this experience
Sam told us that our outward bound journey only starts when we have stepped out of the jetty
and that we have to be independent and make full use of our time on Earth
we each have a bank of our own
everyday there would be 24 hours in there
if you finish using it, it will still replenish itself with 24 hrs each day
if you don't use it, it will be gone but another 24 hrs will replenish itself
so with each hr you waste it will be thrown away
felt that it was kinda true
got our group photo and our certificate
did a survey and said our final goodbyes
was kinda sad to leave OBS and the Magellan peeps and Sam
was looking at OBS camp slowly fading away on the slow boat
felt very very sad and kept silent throughout the trip back
when i got on shore
i kept beating Melissa
was feeling kinda reluctant to go
took 82 bus back home
Tracy and Melissa came too and slacked for awhile
bathed and changed
watched some tv
Tracy's father fetched us back to school
was happy to see my friends
hui ching, deborah, jeslyn.......all the St John peeps
stayed back to help do public duty for full-dress rehearsal
felt really wierld and out of place
really missed OBS

i'm still missing it
i would love to go back there if i have a chance again

The year with the muscle aches'

Damn tired today
had stomachache last night (die-re-a however u spell it)
didn't really sleep well
came to school feeling sick and all
stomach had this churning feeling half of the day
heard my name called to see mrs tng abt the OBS course
budden din go and see her
maybe i cannot go after all
i sooo den i won't have to take my "A" math test tomorrow
den it was drill practice after school
was damned tired
had to help jeslyn bcoz of her severe muscle ache on the leg
after that practiced the dance
then went back to do drill
after that went to buy PN clothing
bought mini melts at heartland
then headed down for compass point
searched everywhere and finally found something agreeable
bought it then went home
took the same train as XY and we realized that jeslyn didn't have the money to take taxi home
HAHAHA
ok...now must try to think of the steps
as easy as possible

Lazy

Ahhhh...the pure pleasure of the holidays:
-having not to wake up early
-slacking the whole day
-not having to see the teacher's face
-not having to see some irritating people
-not needing to eat canteen food
-no need to hear the teacher droning on about some boring subject

I've been enjoying it till now
the down-side is:
-i've only got about less then two weeks because of certain activities
-i've not done any of my homework
-i've got less then two weeks to do the never-finishing homework
-i've not seen my friends for soo long

What more can i say ......
there's gonna be public duty on sunday
the problem is i dunno how to get there
HAHA!! i'm soo stupid

Saturday(29th May)- Methodist Walk
went to school super early
very little peeps turned up
went to ACJC
was dropped off with joanne at the school gate
saw a guy dropping $1 and he just walked away after seeing it
and also saw a girl who dropped her HP and was reluctant to pick it up ????
rich people ......

Sunday(30th May)
was late for briefing
one looonnngg draggy briefing
went Parco bugis for an unplanned team outing
took neoprints
ate chicken rice together
joanne went home
had some crap fun at the kiddy arcade inside
took alot of crap photos
did soome reallyy crappy stuffs
had alot of fun

Monday(31st May)
teammates came to my house to do some team stuff
was locked out of the house bcoz there was a slight communication breakdown
everybody was trying soo hard the open the darned gate
i managed to open the gate and save the day
went for training
was quite ok
settled some comp. stuff then went back home

Today(1st June)
went to return report book
then had training
when doing first aid in the later part of the training
it started to rain
totally suited the atmosphere of the training
Thunder = trainer's anger
Dark clouds = gloomy atmosphere and the trainee's urge for every thing to be over ...... may also be trainee's feelings
Droplets = "tears" of urgency both from the trainers and trainees for team to do better and to do better respectively
talked then went home
now my legs are like iching all over

Biggie Walk

ok .... today woke up at abt 5 am for the big walk with my family
IT WAS SOO CROWDED
there were sooo many people
walked and walked and walked
it was soo warm and was kinda tiring
and now i've got a big blister on my biggie toe jus bcoz of my stupid sandals
now am trying to copy finish the homework stuff
tmr got trng
i should be able to go tommorrow
i dunno ??? see if got 'A' math lessons anot first

arrggghhh... it seems like after exams its even more boring.I have practically nothing to do but sit there and play mini monopoly with my friends.DAMNED boooring...had this dance lesson thingie....was quite interesting.watched this dance video thingie after assembly *dumb* was almost falling asleep. AAAAHHHHH. tommorrow there's gonna be some dumb thingie again. and have to stay back for chem. and we also must finish 'A' math. And i will havta wake up early for morning drill tommorrow. Seems like tommorrow's gonna be a GREAT day
